We shall be like a David, and perform the way he did by running toward his enemy. He ran toward his enemy, in the name of the Lord of Hosts… he told Goliath that the Lord does not deliver by sword or by spear, for the battle is the Lord’s, and that is whose name we will come in. We will not come in fear, and doubt; we will come in the name of the Lord of Hosts at our enemies... wielding the sword of the spirit.
Prayer for "We Are the Army of the Lord of Hosts"
Father, I thank You that You are the God of Hosts, and You have called us to be Your warriors, Your soldiers. Help us, O Lord, to be strong in the power of Your might. And like David, we will not step out in fear or doubt, for we will remember who we're fighting for and who fights our battles for us. Hallelujah! We thank You, Father, that according to Deuteronomy 20 says the Lord, our God is He who goes with us to fight for us against our enemies, to give us the victory. Thank You, Jesus! We thank You, Lord, that You have equipped us with everything good that we need to do Your will. Help us to understand, O Lord, that we do not fight our battles with a sword or spear or javelin. But You are teaching us to fight our battles with the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. Thank You, Lord, for making us more aware of the danger of the words coming out of our mouths. Father, we pray that You will put a bridle on our tongues and a guard on our mouths and not use it as a gate that will give satan access into our lives. Help us, O Lord, to understand that when we agree with what satan puts in our heart, we're giving him legal rights to come in and destroy us. But if we speak God's Word and come into agreement with Him, He will help us. He will rescue us. For by speaking His Word, we're giving the Lord something to work with, inviting Him in to help us. We're tapping into His limitless power. Praise God! So in the name of Jesus, we know that one word from God is enough to send our enemies running. Hallelujah! Amen and amen.
