Dear friend,
There are times when God calls us to do something that scares us. I know that when He called me to preach in jails and prisons for eleven years, I obeyed Him—but at first, I did it afraid. I wrestled with that fear but, in the end, I knew that God would protect me because He told me to do it.
Perhaps you are doing something that you know God called you to do, but there is a hindrance. Maybe it’s not fear but another kind of hindrance that keeps stepping in front of you to block you from doing the thing God called you to do.
In this life, we’re going to have to step out in faith. Sometimes, that step of faith puts us right into a boxing ring with the enemies of God.
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
1 Timothy 6:12 (NKJV)
How do we fight? How do we box in that boxing ring? We speak the Word. No matter the fear or the hindrance, we step out and obey God anyway. Don’t roll over and play dead! Fight with the Word of God.
Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.
With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
Psalm 119:12,13 (KJV)
Declare what God says over your situation. Speak the Word of God and conquer every fear and every hindrance that comes against you this week!
Hallelujah!
