Dear friend,
Do you know that God is not keeping track of our messes and mistakes? It’s true. 1 John 1:9 says that when we confess to God where we went wrong or what sin we did, God forgives us and cleanses us. The trouble is, that some of us are prone to keep track of our own mess-ups. God did not design His children to walk around with a guilty conscience all day. Put that mess or mistake under the blood of Jesus and go on!
God does not accuse us—the devil accuses us. The devil is called, “The Accuser of the Brethren,” because he likes to condemn us every chance he gets. Look what God says about feeling condemned:
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:1 (NKJV)
Remember, Jesus is returning for us one day and then we will be with God for eternity in heaven. In heaven, there will be no condemnation, no sin, and no devil to fight with. Glory to God!
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
Revelation 12:10 (NKJV)
You see, the Word of God shows us that the Accuser of the Brethren has a destiny, too. The Word of God says he will be cast down, totally separated from the kingdom of God and from God’s children. What a glorious day that will be!
Hallelujah!
