Dear Friend,

I’m so thankful for the family of God. This year it seems like the family of God is under attack more than ever before. Let’s remember who we are! We are God’s family, the church of the living God. We are blood-bought, born again, baptized by the Holy Spirit, and brought into the same family, the living body of Jesus Christ!  We are called to reveal the glory of God to the world because this world is blinded by deception and blinded by the gods of this world. 

But you are a chosen generation. You are a royal priesthood. You are a holy nation. His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)

Some people think they don’t matter. The truth is that you do matter. You are the very one who can bring the next spiritual awakening to our dark and decaying world. You are the very one to show people the marvelous light of the glory of God!

As we are called on to take a stand for our God, let’s unite in our faith that our Father will shield us from lies and lead us forward. Only God has the power to bring the spiritual awakening that this world so desperately needs. We can’t look to the Democrats or the Republicans or to global organizations to bring this awakening. Only God can wake up the sleepers. Our battle is not with people, but with the powers of darkness and principalities of evil.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of the world of darkness and against the spiritual forces of evil against the heavenly realms.

Satan would like to use us to fight against each other. He’d like nothing better than to divide us and conquer us, but he is a defeated foe!

I praise God that you are a part of my family, the family of God. This week, let’s pray for one another and unite in faith and love. Greater is He who lives in us than the devil that roams about this world!
