Dear Friend,

The Word of God tells us that Jesus came to give us life abundantly. But we have an enemy, the devil, and his goal is to kill, steal, and destroy people. He especially targets people who are born again and living for God.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
I have come that they may have life,
and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10 (NKJV)

We can look back on the battleground of 2020 and 2021, when Satan targeted people with Covid 19. Seniors in their 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s were the most vulnerable to the disease. Nursing homes and even hospitals kept people from seeing their family. Division, isolation, sickness, and death are all works of our enemy. 

If you are part of the older generation, I want to encourage you that you are what the world needs right now. The world needs your historical life and perspective. They need to possess the foundation of God’s Word and the unshakable truths of scripture. First and foremost, the older generation can teach the younger to hear the Father’s voice and do His will. The devil hates seniors because they are the source of great pain to him.

This week I want to encourage the older and the younger generation to build a house together that the storm cannot shake. Let’s love one another and lay hold of the unity that Jesus prayed for when He was on the earth.

I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;
that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one.
John 17:20-22 (NLT)

May God help us to reveal the beauty of God’s love, peace, and unity during this time of great darkness.
