Dear Friend,
When God the Father sent His Son, Jesus, to earth, Jesus gave up the rights He had
in heaven. Jesus had the right to be worshiped, yet He did not claim that right on
earth. He simply obeyed the Father and came to earth.
When Jesus was born, some people did worship Him. But those who worshiped
Mary’s infant son did so by revelation. Think about this.
Why did the shepherds worship Jesus? Because God sent an angel to give them
the message that Christ was born.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch
over their flocks at night.
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord
shone around them, and they were terrified.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news
that will cause great joy for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the
Messiah, the Lord.”

Luke 2:8-11 (NIV)

Why did the Magi leave their homes? They saw the star—His star—and they
followed the star by faith until it finally led them to Jesus.

Magi from the east came to Jerusalem
and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We
saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

Matthew 2:1b,2 (NIV)

The Magi worshiped the Messiah and brought Him gifts. The shepherds
worshiped the Messiah and went out into the streets of Bethlehem and surrounding
areas to tell everyone that their King, the Christ, was born!
Then there were Simeon and Anna, who served God in fasting and prayer in the
temple and both of them recognized Jesus as the Christ—by revelation.

When did the Holy Spirit reveal to you that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah and
Savior of your soul? Praise the Lord!
Let’s worship Christ our Lord!
