Dear Friend,

Do you believe that God can help you escape the power of disease or food poisoning? Do you believe that God is able to cause your body to be immune to a viper’s venom? God can do all of these things, but it always requires an act of faith.

For example, Paul believed that God would save him and everyone on board a ship that was sinking in stormy waters. He believed God, but he didn’t sit still on the boat and wait for a miracle. Paul and his friends jumped off the boat and swam to shore! Paul’s jump was an act of faith.

We believe God for the little things like a headache or help finding a parking space, so we need to believe Him for the big things, too. An act of faith is required in order to see those big miracles happen.

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Mark 16:17,18 (NKJV)

When we are born again, the Holy Spirit enters us and lives inside of us. Romans 8:11 says that God’s Holy Spirit raised Jesus up from the dead, and Jesus came out of the tomb alive! One day, the Holy Spirit will give life to our mortal bodies, too.

How? The Holy Spirit never changes. He still possesses the power to raise up anyone from the dead.

If the Holy Spirit tells you to do something, do it! That’s an act of faith! With the Holy Spirit’s power living in you coupled with your obedience to Him, you can raise the dead and heal the sick. That’s an act of faith!

This week remember—you have the Spirit and power of Almighty God living inside of you!

Hallelujah!
