Dear Friend,
Last week we talked about Paul and how God gave him the power to perform unusual miracles. Handkerchiefs that had touched Paul’s skin were placed on sick people, and the sick were healed of diseases and evil spirits were expelled. Not only did Paul have faith, but the people who placed the handkerchiefs on their friends’ bodies did so as an act of faith.
I want to share a testimony. One of our partners from Speak the Word Ministries requested prayer for her friend’s twenty-one-year-old daughter, who was still living at home. The daughter rebelled against her parents and often disappeared from home. Sometimes she left the house screaming that she hated them.
The parents agreed to let me send them an anointed prayer cloth (which is like a handkerchief in size and shape) to put inside the daughter’s pillow. I prayed in the Spirit and in English and anointed that cloth. My partner admits she thought it was silly at the time, but the father of that young lady put the anointed cloth inside the pillow of his daughter without telling anyone.
The daughter slept all night on that pillow with the anointed cloth. She woke up the next morning happy and calm. She said, “I love you, Mom. I love you, Dad.” Of course, the mother asked, “What miraculous thing has happened to our daughter?”
When the father explained that he put the anointed prayer cloth in the daughter’s pillow case, their friends started requesting prayer cloths, too!
You see, a cloth is a point of contact and agreement with God’s Word and the anointing of the Holy Spirit will flow. The same God who anointed Paul’s handkerchiefs and aprons will anoint our prayer cloths!
My friend, let’s believe God for the miraculous in our families, too!
