Dear Friend,

Is there a time in your life when you were awestruck at what the Lord had done for you?  I think about Mary and Martha and how grieved they were when their brother Lazarus had become sick and, later, died.  They sent for Jesus to come while Lazarus was still sick.  Jesus did not come right away, but he did show up three days after their brother had died.  Lazarus was in the tomb and his sisters were still grieving their loss. Both of the sisters said that Jesus could have healed their brother.  But Jesus challenged their faith to go deeper!  Look at the conversation between Jesus and Martha.

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; the one who believes in Me will live, even if he dies,
26 and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”
27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord; I have come to believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, and He who comes into the world.”
John 11:25-27 (NASB)

Martha believed that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.  I John chapter five tells us that if we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, then that is enough faith to overcome the world!  Martha’s confession of faith in Jesus changed everything!

He (Jesus) cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”
44 Out came the man who had died, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Unbind him, and let him go.”
John 11:43,44 (NASB)

God always acts on our faith in His Word.  If we believe something, we will talk about it.  I want to encourage you to be like Martha today.  Confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and you believe in Him!

The victory is ours!
