Dear friend,

Are you looking for a fresh way to pray for your prodigals or unsaved loved ones?  Perhaps you’ve asked God to put a hedge around them. 

God used a hedge of thorns around the wife of the prophet Hosea. He hedged her way with thorns to keep her lover away from her. 

Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.
7 And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now.
  Hosea 2:6,7 (KJV)

Can you picture those thorns hedged around your loved one?  Thorns separate your loved one from destructive influences. You can pray that God will hedge your loved one with thorns that those who would lure them into evil will lose interest in them—and cause your loved one to lose interest in people who try to lure them into evil. What a promise!

This week you can pray with faith that God will hedge your loved one with thorns so that people who are a bad influence can’t find your child or grandchild and will even lose interest in trying to influence him or her.

You can’t change a person’s will because God gives every person a free will. However, when you pray a hedge of thorns around your loved one, you can remove the wrong influences from attaching themselves to their lives.

Through the Word of God, you are not powerless! Hallelujah!
