Dear friend,

Did you go to your local church yesterday?  You know, the church should be a hospital where the hurting, brokenhearted, and the crushed can come to receive healing and strength. The church is the place where the lame get up, the blind see, and the sick are healed. 

New Christians need to be discipled, or mentored, so that they can understand and live out God’s Word. I hope that your church teaches the Word of God so that new believers don’t fall by the wayside, encumbered with the cares of this world. 

Jesus loves His church, His people. He calls His church His bride and declares that He is the bridegroom who is coming for us soon!  Hallelujah!

Until Christ returns, the Word of God can become like fire in our bones.

But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not.
  Jeremiah 20:9b (NKJV)

Before you open your Bible or your Bible app today, ask the Lord to make His Word a burning fire in your heart. Ask the Lord to point you to someone that you can help by sharing the scripture you read today. 

Open the Word!  Pause and be still long enough for God to light a match and start the flame—for our God is a consuming fire!
