Dear friend,

I believe that the spirit of poverty is the work of the devil.  Do you agree with that? I know God placed me here on this earth to help Jesus destroy the works of the devil. The devil’s economy is in trouble, but God owns it all!

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,
that He might destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:8b (NKJV)

Some of God’s children suffer a spirit of lack and a spirit of poverty.  I know what it feels like to be in debt and owe money.  It was personally painful and humiliating, especially when I realized I helped to create that debt.  Talk about guilt! God desires that we get out of debt and stay out of debt.

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
1 John 1:2 (KJV)

I want to encourage you this week to call on God regarding your finances.  He promises that He loves us and will rescue us when we are in trouble.

Then call on me when you are in trouble,
and I will rescue you,
and you will give me glory.
Psalm 50:15 (NLT)

If you are a child of God, then know that He is eager to rescue those who call on Him. Remember, there is no lack in heaven.  God owns it all and anyone who is walking in God’s economy gives God the glory for His supply!
