Dear Friend,
Do you know that God loves you? The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit act on their love for you every day. This week, let’s be conscious of God’s love, His greatness, and vastness. Think about what Jesus said when He saw the people walking about in the city of Jerusalem:
Jesus said, “Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem the city that kills the prophets
and stones God’s messengers. How often I have wanted to gather your
children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but
you would not let me.”
Matthew 23:37 (NKJV)
God wants to gather YOU, too. Will you let God gather you close to Him? Maybe the enemy, the devil, is trying to tangle your thoughts about God, especially as we approach the holiday season. Holidays can bring an upheaval of emotions, failed expectations, and memories. Allow God to gather you close to Him. If there is a wall between you and God, ask Him to penetrate that wall and find you.
The Bible says that people, even people in our family, will recognize us as Christ followers when they see our love. Where does that love come from? God is love.
We are called to stand out in this holiday season. When there is hatred, we bring love. Where there is darkness, we are light—and our love and light should be the brightest!
Remember, God loves you.
