Dear friend,

Are you afraid of dying?  People fear dying partly because it’s a mystery. Most of us don’t get a trial run!  I read about a pastor who was afraid of dying. He struggled because he couldn’t minister to others who were facing death.

One day the pastor moved to a new location. All the furniture was put into a moving van. The boxes piled up, like souvenirs of the house he was leaving behind. The pastor lingered in the house recalling how he loved his wife and they raised their children there.  He had sweet times of fellowship with the Lord in that house and now it would all be a distant memory.

A friend tapped the pastor on the shoulder and said, “Come on, Pastor. Your NEW house is better than this one!”

And it’s true. Home is where you enjoy your family and friends, and you make memories. But one day each of us will take a trip like this pastor. We will leave behind what is old and go to a new house that is better than the one we live in now! 

But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 
2 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)

God is preparing your home right now.  Soon you will leave your old house and enter into the new. Remember, your NEW house is better than this one!
