Dear Friend,

For the next few weeks, I want to talk about the three greatest qualities you and I can have as mentioned in the Bible:

Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13 (NLT)

Notice that these three things are eternal and will last forever. Our cars won’t last, our clothes will wear out, and our houses will belong to someone else one day, but the faith, hope, and love we’ve shown on earth will go with us when we move off the earth and into heaven.

David writes that he put his hope in the Word of God. When trouble came, David saw the Word of God as his shield and hiding place!

May all who fear you find in me a cause for joy, For I have put my hope in Your Word.
Psalm 119:74 (NLT)

Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
Psalm 119:114 (NKJV)

Have you fixed your hope on the Word of God today? Are you spending time in the Word of God, speaking the Word and confessing the Word?

No matter what is happening today in the world around us, my friend, let’s fix our hope on things eternal—the Word of God!
