A Word from Pastor Jo (Week of September 4, 2017)

The Feathered Taxi: For years ornithologists were puzzled as to how the delicate hummingbirds were able to migrate from the far north to the far south. They knew the hummingbird had not been created (built) for long flights or to combat fierce winds and torrential rains. Then a most interesting oddity was discovered. It happened as hunters shot down great Canadian geese as they migrated south. They reported finding dead hummingbirds nestled under the wings. It was obvious that the hummingbirds under the soft feathers of their giant cousins hitched a ride to a warmer climate. My point Saints? The Lord teaches that the Strong should bear the infirmities of the weak. “The Happiest Christian is the Strongest one who carries the burdens of the Needful." Gal 6:2. “A Sorrow Shared is but Half a Trouble, but a Joy That’s Shared is a Joy Made Double!” Do you know someone with a burden who needs a lift up?
