For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
2 Corinthians 4:17-18
Prayer for Faith in the Unseen
Father, I thank You for my heart overflows with love and praise for You, and I thank You for our faith that comes from reading and hearing Your Word. I thank You that our faith assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things that we cannot see. Our faith in You, Lord, convinces us that You created this world through Your Word and what can be seen was made by You through something that could not be seen. And even though we may have troubles, we have faith that they won’t last long for our eyes are upon You. For, according to Your Word, all things - whatever we pray and ask for - if we will believe, we will receive it. Thank You, Lord! So Father, we will fill our mouths with faith-filled words, for we have faith that when we speak Your Word in faith, that Your Word will overcome any obstacle. Lord, help us to understand that we should never, never focus on the things that can be seen but to focus on the unseen, for the things that can be seen are only temporary. Thank You, Jesus. Father, thank You that You have Your angels, Your mighty beings standing by, ready to obey Your Word, and they are listening and waiting for us to speak Your Word so they can help us. So Father, in the Name of Jesus, my mouth will stay in agreement with Your Word, and Your angels have orders from You to bring those Words about - Hallelujah! In the Name of Jesus I pray, Amen and Amen.
