Prayer for “No More Shackles”

Please join me now as I pray a prayer for you a prayer that has been inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Father, I thank You for the freedom to love You, and the freedom to worship You. And, I thank You Lord, that I no longer have to be held down with meaningless works. I don’t have to earn Your love, for Your love is a free gift. Thank You Jesus.
I pray today, Lord, that You will give me the grace to never take Your love for granted, and the grace and wisdom to see what is really important to You.
For, according to Your Word, if I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong. If I had the gift of prophecy and if I understood all of Your secret plans, and possessed all knowledge,
and if I had enough faith to move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.
You said, Lord, if I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, that I could boast about it but if I didn’t love You and love others, I would have gained nothing.
Help me, Lord, to understand that I am no longer a child so there is no need for me to speak and reason as a child, no need for me to have childish ways and only think of myself.
But, Lord, give me the grace to reach out when I see a brother or sister in need and know that it is by reaching out to them that I am loving You.
And, that these are the three things that will last forever - Faith, Hope and Love and the greatest of these is Love. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen.
