Dear Friend,

I want to talk to you about fear. Do you know that there are 350 verses in the Bible about fear? Except for Jesus, every person in the Bible faced a fear of some sort.

Elijah slew 450 false prophets, but ran away from one old woman who sent him a note that she was looking for him and would kill him. When Elijah read that note, he took off running!

King David had fears. That why he wrote in Psalm 56:3, “When I am afraid, I will trust in you.”

What does God have to say about fear?

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10 (ESV)

When Jesus told His disciples that He was going to leave and go back to His Father, they became fearful. They didn’t want to lose their Lord and best friend.

Jesus said, “Peace is what I leave with you. It’s My OWN peace that I leave with you. I do not give it as the world does. So do not worry and be upset. Do not be afraid.”
John 14:27 (GNT)

Allow our Lord’s promise of peace to enter your soul right now and overcome all fear as you walk with Him this week.

Hallelujah!
