Dear Friend,

Several years ago, the Lord gave me an analogy that is still with me today. He likened His Word to those old silent movies. Believe it or not, it’s only been about a hundred years since all we had were silent, black and white movies. Of course, I can sit in my living room right now and I can watch a movie on a large screen TV that's filled with colors and voices.  I can talk on my phone every day and it talks back to me.

Keep in mind, these are little perks we’ve gained in just the last ten or twenty years.  The Lord said to me that the secular world has gotten very proficient at putting voices to movies as well as to many other devices—such as my iPhone.  He said, however, that Christians have not even scratched the surface when it comes to giving voice to His Word. I put a Selah there.  Selah just means to pause and think about what He just said.

I speak His Word every day, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, just calling those things that be not as though they are, and I haven't even scratched the surface!

Please remember, you activate the power of God's Word when you open your mouth and you speak His Word over your situation. You activate the enemy the very same way. As soon as you speak what the enemy says, you activate him and give him access. I want to share with you one of my favorite verses about the power of the tongue:

A man’s [moral] self shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; and with the consequence of his words he must be satisfied [whether good or evil].
Proverbs 18:20 (AMPC)
