Dear Friend,

If Satan has his way, he will fill your ear with fear, doubt, and unbelief. In fact, Satan likes to play movies in our minds of how bad a situation is going to turn out. Don’t believe it!

Therefore submit to God.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 (NKJV)

If you are being tempted to fear, you resist the enemy by opening up your mouth and saying out loud, "Fear, I resist you!” If you are tempted to doubt God’s Word, then open your mouth and say out loud, “Doubt!  I resist you. In the name of Jesus, leave me now!”

Let’s look at James 4:7 in the God Word Translation:

Place yourselves under God's authority.
Resist the devil and he will run away from you.
James 4:7 (GWT)

When we place ourselves under God’s authority, we are submitting to God and to God’s instructions, intentions, and will. If we place ourselves under God’s authority, we will naturally resist the devil. Even better, we are giving God a way to work for us!

It is my prayer for you this week that you will experience victory over every temptation and you will find great peace in placing yourself under God’s authority in all you do.

Hallelujah!
