Dear Friend,

A new year is upon us and it’s a time for new beginnings! To start fresh, we need to first of all resist the devil when He speaks to us. As you know, the enemy will speak deceitful and condemning thoughts into our ears. Don’t listen to that voice!

Jesus says that the devil is a liar.

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
John 8:44 (NKJV)

Jesus did not mince words, did He? If the devil can’t get you to believe his lies, then he will accuse you of nonsense. If we want to start fresh this year, we must first of all stop believing the lies that the devil feeds us. The Bible says that the devil’s destiny is to be cast down by the power of Jesus Christ!

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
Revelation 12:10 (NKJV)

Can you picture the devil losing on that day? Can you see him being cast down?

For now, the Lord tells us to resist the devil. If you hear thoughts that bring condemnation, guilt, or fear, know that God gives you the power to send Satan packing.

Submit yourselves, then, to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 (NIV)

Let’s resist the devil and kick him out of 2024!

Happy New Year!
