Dear Friend,

So many of us make New Year resolutions. We want to get a new start or get out of a particular bad habit. Before I was saved, I’d smoked for thirty years. I tried for several years to quit, with no success. Finally, I began to speak God’s Word about that addiction to cigarettes and God’s Word coming out of my mouth set me free.

I had the same experience with taking pills. Before I was saved, I was taking 150 pills a month and still in pain. I spoke God’s Word over my body, day after day, and severe migraines, depression, and pain left my body. I was free!

This is why I preach that our tongue can keep us in bondage or our tongue can deliver us from addiction, poverty, and sickness. Our tongue possesses power!

Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV)

I can speak life over something. I can speak death over something. I can keep going around and around the same mountain of bondage or I can choose to go north and take a new way. The new way involves me speaking and believing God’s Holy Word.

Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well,
for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.
Jeremiah 1:12 (AMPC)

I spoke God’s Word over my pain. Isaiah 53:5 says that by Jesus’ stripes, that He took on His back, I am healed. I spoke that verse time and time again. I put it out there and I watched God perform it.

At first I thought, I don’t feel very healed—but I knew I was healed. I’m not moved by what I think or by what I feel, I am moved by what is written in the Word of God. So I said, “Body, I command you to line up with the Word of God.”

My friend, let’s follow our Shepherd in 2024 and SPEAK HIS WORD!
