Dear Friend,

Do you know that God created you as a three-part being? You are made up of:

A body—that contacts the physical realm
A soul—that contacts the realm of the mind and emotions
A spirit—that contacts the spiritual realm—the heart of God

Your body doesn’t change when you are born again. If you were tall, you’re still tall.  If you were skinny, you’re still skinny.

God doesn’t talk to your mind.  In fact, God tells us that our mind needs to be renewed so we can control our body.  Our old thoughts, feelings, urges, desires, and old thinking didn’t immediately change when we received Christ as Savior.  Our thoughts need to come into agreement with God’s good and acceptable and perfect will.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2 (NKJV)

God talks to you through your spirit.  Your spirit is the part of you that got saved. The Word of God is called “The Sword of the Spirit” for a reason! In order to renew your mind, you need the Word of God.  The Holy Spirit brings the Word of God to LIFE!

I want to encourage you this week to read your Bible.  Listen to the Word of God being preached as you prepare for your day or as you travel to and from work. Allow God’s Word to penetrate. Speak the Word of God so that your mind is transformed and in agreement with God’s perfect will for you.
