Dear Friend,

Do you feel like the world has been turned completely upside down? More than ever before, we live in a world filled with evil that challenges our walk with God.

As children of God, we realize that we have an adversary that’s trying to kill us and take us out—and he doesn’t care how he does it. I’m so glad that the Lord warns us of the dangers ahead. Let’s look at what Jesus said in the following scripture:

I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves, so be as cunning as snakes but as innocent as doves.
Matthew 10:16 (NOG)

I want to share this same verse with you in the Message translation, in hopes that it will stay with you and help you this week.

Stay alert. This is hazardous work I’m assigning you. You’re going to be like sheep running through a wolf pack, so don’t call attention to yourselves. Be as shrewd as a snake, inoffensive as a dove.
Matthew 10:16 (MSG)

The world we live in today can be a frightening place, and the Lord warns us of that. But we are to handle ourselves in such a way that we don’t intentionally call attention to ourselves, yet live by faith and obey God in all He’s instructed us to do. If the Lord opens the door for you to share your faith, do so with boldness. But it’s not wise to run haphazardly into a crowd of angry unbelievers and take the stage!

Be encouraged, my friend.  Jesus will soon return!

Hallelujah!
