Dear Friend,

When you receive Christ, His Spirit comes to live inside you. One of the beautiful things about being adopted into God’s family is that you have many brothers and sisters, too! It’s important that we spend time with our family and pray for one another and encourage each other with our words and acts of kindness.

The Word of God tells us to assemble with other believers, and testify when we are in those meetings and tell what God has done for us.

Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
Hebrews 2:12 (KJV)

Have you ever given your testimony in church? That means, have you ever told other Christians what God has done for you? And that’s not all!

Note that the writer of Hebrews also points to music within the church and praise music in particular. Jesus sang a hymn just before He left for the Garden of Gethsemane, to pray. We are to go into church with an attitude to both receive from God and expecting to give to God. God wants us to be humble in our hearts so that we can receive from one another, but also open to allowing the Holy Spirit to use us in giving an encouraging word to a brother or sister in Christ.

I want to encourage you this week to meet with other believers. Give your time, talent, and resources to your local church. Allow God to use you to be a blessing, especially in these last days.
