Dear Friend,

The military has a training manual for BCT, Basic Combat Training.  The Christian has the Bible as its manual for instruction, correction, and training in righteousness.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16,17 (NKJV) 

If you are going to win in spiritual combat, you need to pay attention to God’s Word!  I like this acronym for the Bible:

  B – Basic
  I – Instructions
  B – Before
  L – Leaving
  E – Earth

The Bible becomes powerful and active when you use it as the Holy Spirit reveals it to you.  The Holy Spirit is our helper and He will teach us and instruct us as we look at scripture. 

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
John 14:26 (NKJV)

Be consistent in what you do, in what you say, and in what you believe. Step out in faith on God’s promises and trust the Holy Spirit to teach you. Live your life out of your training manual, the Word of God.
