Dear friend,

Praise the Lord for His Word and His people! I praise God that even if our lost family member doesn’t respond to us, God knows the exact person to send their way. In prayer, we can frustrate our loved one’s attempt to make friends with the wrong people. We can pray that the Lord of the harvest will send just the right “laborer” or Christian evangelist, across their path.

37 Jesus said to his followers, “There is such a big harvest of people to bring in. But there are only a few workers to help harvest them.
38 God owns the harvest. Ask him to send more workers to help gather his harvest.”
  Matthew 9:37,38 (ERV)

I like the way the Classic Amplified Bible (AMPC) translates this scripture. The AMPC says, “So pray to the Lord of harvest to force out and thrust laborers into the harvest.”

As we ask the Lord to send just the right person to witness to and influence our loved one, we need to reciprocate that prayer and be open to the Lord using us as His harvesters.  There is the chance that God will use us to talk to a stranger and bring them His Word. However, God may nudge us to talk to someone that we know, someone who respects us and will receive our input into their life or situation.  Who knows? Maybe they have a family member who is praying for them.

The Lord of the harvest is sending workers.
