Dear Friend,

What have you been thinking about the last few days? Do you feel close to God or is fear robbing you of His peace and joy? Sometimes it helps to take inventory of our thoughts.

The Bible says in Hebrews that our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

He does not change. If we look away from the Lord and focus on our fears, we can end up with all kinds of anxiety, stress, and sickness.

I believe if you’ll just get close to your Father and keep your eyes looking up at Him, and not focus on the negativity that people are saying and doing around you, you will be protected. If you or someone you love falls into a pit, God has promised to pull you out. He hasn’t changed His mind. God is here to comfort you and protect you.

“I, yes I, am the one who comforts you.
So why are you afraid of mere humans,
who wither like the grass and disappear?
Yet you have forgotten the LORD, your Creator, the one who stretched out the sky like a canopy and laid the foundations of the earth.
Will you remain in constant dread of human oppressors?
Will you continue to fear the anger of your enemies?
Where is their fury and anger now?
It is gone!
Isaiah 51:12,13 (NLT)

The fury and anger of the past is GONE! Isn’t that a good word?

This week, look to the Lord your God. He is there to comfort you. Every threat you face is small next to our God!
