Dear Friend,

During this month of October when Halloween is celebrated, we must be aware that we are in a spiritual battle. The devil has a plan to take us out. Part of the reason we are given the armor of God is to fight for our children!

10 Finally, brothers and sisters, draw your strength and might from God.
11 Put on the full armor of God to protect yourselves from the devil and his evil schemes.
12 We’re not waging war against enemies of flesh and blood alone. No, this fight is against tyrants, against authorities, against supernatural powers and demon princes that slither in the darkness of this world, and against wicked spiritual armies that lurk about in heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:10-12 (VOICE)

The threat against us is real, and our children need us to show them how to resist the devil and beat back our enemy through the Word of God and prayer. They need to picture the adults in their family dressed in the armor of God, fighting for them!  By faith, they can see God’s angels surrounding them, too, and defending them.

Remember, it’s up to us to lead our children to righteousness and cover them with our shields of faith. Jesus put it this way:

“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”
Matthew 18:6 (NKJV)

Remember, when God is with you, nothing can defeat you or your children!
