December 18, 2023

Dear Friend,

I want to encourage you this Christmas season to put God first. Whether you have a large ministry or a small one, let Jesus be the Lord and the head of all you do.

I did not start out preaching to thousands in coliseums. My ministry began at a jail.

Each week when I came to the jail to preach, I had to wipe off a place to lay my Bible. I had to forget about the smells surrounding me and preach what God told me to preach. I taught the Word of God in that small prison and the Lord opened big doors for me to speak in other places.

My husband says he built a million dollar business by keeping himself in the back of the line. I can tell you what David would never say about himself. David always puts others before himself. He always takes a humble back seat and honors the Lord and puts Him first.

Jesus came to the earth in a humble stable full of smelly animals. Remember, it’s not about the money, it’s about servanthood.

As you finish out the year 2023, I want to encourage you to press on to the end of the race that God’s called you to run.

Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
Philippians 3:13b,14 (NLT)

Merry Christmas!
