Dear Friend,

As we walk with the Lord in 2024, we must get rid of everything that slows us down and focus on Jesus. Don’t give up! No matter what is going on in our lives, Jesus is always the goal of our faith.

We must run the race that lies ahead of us and never give up.
We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith.
Hebrews 12:1b,2 (GW)

Jesus took our disgrace, our shame, our sin, and our failures. He paid the price with joy in His heart so that we can be saved. He endured opposition and hatred from sinners so that you and I can be adopted and take our place in the family of God.

He saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought him. Now he holds the honored position—the one next to God the Father on the heavenly throne.
Think about Jesus, who endured opposition from sinners, so that you don’t become tired and give up.
Hebrews 12:2,3 (GW)

As the world grows darker, we hear reports about heated arguments, lies, vicious anger, and violence. Sin seems to multiply and flares up around us. Has someone aimed angry words at you because of your faith in Christ? When we are verbally attacked because of our faith, it can weigh us down or discourage us.

Remember. Stay focused on Jesus, who endured opposition against Himself so He could save us. Don’t give up! See Jesus’ example and take courage.

With joy ahead of us in 2024!
