Dear Friend,

Our words matter! But it’s hard to watch what we say when dealing with people who make us frustrated or even angry.  Our words can open doors and shut doors. If we speak words of anger to others or even to ourselves, we can open a door and give the devil a foothold.

“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
Ephesians 4:26,27 (NIV)

Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing.
My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
James 3:10 (NKJV)

The words you speak can be your salvation or your damnation. The devil looks for opportunities to slither into your life. Our words will open doors and shut doors. Don’t give Satan a foothold.  Don’t give him access to your life.

Let’s pray together:

“Lord, I pray that today that you put a guard over my mouth, so that I won’t open a door and give Satan a foothold over my life. In the name of Jesus.”
